I agree with Thegaman on this series being overhyped. Many people had warmly recommended this show to me but truth be told, the only reason I actually enjoyed this show was because of the excellent humor namely how Kyon comments on everything in his own sarcastic way. I've never been able to enjoy a series fully which didn't have a proper story and personally I didn't feel that SHnY had such a great story for its abnormally high ratings. I loved most of the series, the top-notch animation as well as Kyon's saracastic trolling but I still feel that this show has too many fanboys and many people don't give it a fair review.

All too often I catch hell for some of my reviews especially when I rank something well loved low and some obscure show high. I've had someone who was so jaded about a lower score than expected for Haruhi and Shakugan no Shana, that he wished illness upon my loved ones. Not exactly friendly eh? It's good to see that there are still people who do go against the tide of popular opinion. Again thanks.
